COVID-19 Cases Among City and County Law Enforcement
The LAPD, LAFD and both the county's Sheriff's Department and the county's Fire Department have all been impacted by COVID-19.
LAPD AND LAFD:
As of Tuesday, July 7, 2020, the Los Angeles Police Department has a total of 329 employees who have tested positive for the Coronavirus. In addition, the Los Angeles Fire Department has a total of 101 members who have tested positive for the Coronavirus.
Two-hundred and fifty-six LAPD employees are self-isolating at home and recovering due to exposure, while one hundred and thirty-nine employees have returned to work. Forty-six LAFD employees have recovered and returned to duty and the remaining fifty-five employees are isolated and recovering at home.
LASD and LACFD:
For the county's fire department, as of today, there were 112 confirmed cases.
As of today, there are 537 total positive cases in the Sheriff's Department.
