COVID-19 Cases Among City and County Law Enforcement

The LAPD, LAFD and both the county's Sheriff's Department and the county's Fire Department have all been impacted by COVID-19.

LAPD AND LAFD:

As of Wednesday, the Los Angeles Police Department has a total of 124 employees who have tested positive for the Coronavirus.  In addition, the Los Angeles Fire Department has a total of 28 members who have tested positive for the Coronavirus.


Seventy-six LAPD employees have recovered and returned to full duty, currently one member is hospitalized.  All other individuals are self-isolating at home and recovering.  Twenty-five LAFD employees have recovered and returned to duty, currently no members are hospitalized.  The remaining three employees are isolated and recovering at home.

LASD and LACFD:

For the county's fire department, as of Wednesday, 28 have tested positive,  12 are isolated, 4 at home, and 24 have returned to work.

As of today, there are 260 total positive cases in the Sheriff's Department. There are 511 quarantined and 1,325 who are back to work.
