Twitter users dug deep beneath the data of meme relics and cat videos to uncover the internet’s latest obsession, and greatest interviewer: Leta Powell Drake.

Users began sharing a compilation video of the legendary Nebraska broadcaster’s numerous celebrity interviews throughout the late 1980’s and early 90’s. She was working for local station KOLN/KGIN while speaking to such celebrities as Kurt Russell, Gene Hackman, Tom Selleck and Lee Ann Remick.

One interview in particular with Jaws star Roy Scheider boarders on the absurd, drawing comparisons to Zach Galifianakis’ interview style on the Funny Or Die show Between Two Ferns. She even talks to these celebrities around floral arrangements. “Look at these eyes,” Leta implores the camera, as it zooms in on Scheider’s face. “Do you see that ring around the outer edge of the eye?” Roy tries to brush the comment off but she presses for more information about his personal health habits. “Are you into yoga or exercising?” Awkward.

Another featured conversation with an actor sees Leta ask, “How do you kiss underwater without the bubbles coming out of your nose and mouth?” Great question! You have to admire Drake’s bravery investigating these hard hitting issues. It’s not like you could google such conundrums at that time.

But nothing exemplifies Leta’s aggressively blunt interview style more than her conversation with Friends actor Elliot Gould. She point blank asks, “You don’t consider yourself a great actor, do you?” His shocked reaction to the camera speaks for all of us. How did we not find Leta Powell Drake sooner?
